Health Q+A

Q: Now that I am getting older I seem to have problems with my knees, why?

A: When you are younger your quadriceps are stronger (through training and sport), as you age the muscle can waste. This is due to your age and less physical training. The quadriceps help to stabilise the knee and in this weaken state the knee is not so well supported. Exercises that strengthens the quadriceps will help to re-stabilise the knee and prevent further knee problems.
