Applyby Magna Actionmen V Huncote Spearheads 27/07/03 - Huncote gain comprehensive draw

Huncote suffered the loss of some early wickets in this match, but an excellent partnership of 114 between Tim Kirby (70) and Carl Sommer (47), saw the Spearheads to a commanding total of 192 runs for the loss of 9 wickets at tea. Unfortunatley this was a timed game and the Actionmen looked in no mood to chase.

Downing offered some resistance, perhaps the only batsman to take on the bowling, but the other Actionmen seemed happy to tell the lads in the pub afterwards about a hard earned Sunday draw. Most people got a bowl and Smith and Sommer took the wickets, as Magna finished 5 down for 120.
