Broughton Astley 1st V Huncote 1st 09/08/03 - Broughton win by 7 wickets

Broughton eased home in a well paced run chase. Earlier the damage had been done by the Astley bowlers, with only Pete Kirby (26), Ross Spencer (21), and Tim Kirby (21) offering any resistance. A poor show from the Huncote batting lineup was emphasised by James Brewin's rash shot when on zero. A dissapointment for such a talented player. Matty Adcock added some quick runs at the end, but 134 was never enough.

Ross Blockley was the pick of the home sides batsmen, playing some lovely shots. This was in stark contrast to the slogging of Tingle, Adcock receiving the brunt of the huge sixes. Broughton home with seven wickets to space. Nice to see Spencer get his first bowl of the year, picking up a consolation wicket at the end.
