Burbage 2nds V Huncote 2nd 31/05/2003 - Burbage Gain Winning Draw

Huncote lost the toss and Burbage decided to bat first on what looked a good wicket J W and James Brewin opened the bowling with Brew taking the first wicket with DJ taking a good catch behind the stumps, Burbage continued to score at a steady pace James Swann replaced Brew and bowled the other opener with his second ball Eddie came on for J W and caused the batsmen a few problems taking 3 wickets in his twelve over spell. Ben and Fraz both bowled a few overs each and bowled a good line considering a run chase was now on for Burbage J W came on at the end to bowl 2 overs and took 4 for 5 in these with 3 wickets in the last over to bowl Burbage all out for 156 off their 45 overs.

Tea was taken and it was a good spread laid on by Burbage seconds available if needed. Huncote opened with Jamie and James who put on 15 for the first wicket in came Alan who was determined not to get out Jamie was caught with score on 32 chasing a wide delivery Eddie came in and took the score to 63 before Eddie was out caught Mitch came in and the score was accelerating when tragedy struck Alan pulled a fetlock so it meant quick singles were now out of the question, with Mitch out in came young Swanny who with Alan guided us to some batting points Swanny was out for a good 20 leaving Alan not out on 44 with Huncote finishing on 129 for 5 off their 45 overs.
