Huncote Spearheads V Northampton Cavaliers 11/05/2003 - Spearheads win by 7 wickets

A swashbuckling innings from James Brewin was enough to take this game away from a spirited Northampton Cavaliers team. The young opener hit a 64 ball innings of 77 runs including 3 sixes and 9 fours. He was given good support from first Tim Kirby, then Alan Sommer. Jamie Smith was unlucky to be caught for none, but Frazer Hubbard batted well with Sommer to see the home side home.

Earlier in the day Cavaliers captain Phil Pace elected to bat, and some good bowling from Wayne Smith and John Smith restricted the score. Resistance came in the form of Huncote player, on loan to the Cavaliers, Ian Crossley, and a good little innings from Haywood. Good bowling from Ben Crossley, James Swann, and Frazer Hubbard. All in all a good performance from Huncote.
