Leicester Caribbean 2nd V Huncote 2nd 31/07/04 - Caribbeans Win By 5 Wickets

A solid Huncote performance was not enough against a good Caribbean outfit. Huncote were put in on a decent enough track, scoring 161-8. Pete Lill and Eddie Stratford put on a steady opening stand of 91, but some good off spin from Durrant kept the middle order in check. Hubbard and Farmer hit some decent late runs to give the visitors a total to defend.

It was not to be as Huncote seemed bereft of options in the field. Swann and Smith bowled well, but the Caribbean coped easily with the change bowling. Barzey hit an unbeaten 50 despite a late LBW shout and the home side cruised to victory. The effort was there for Huncote, just lacking in quality.
