Leicester Ivanhoe 1st V Huncote 1st 04/06/2005 - Huncote Win by 6 Wickets

Excellent bowling from Luke Dyke and Wayne Smith meant Huncote were in a strong position at half way.  Ivanhoe were restricted to 92 all out, with the wickets being shared equally between the two bowlers.  Clark was first to go caught by Pete Kirby from a skier in the covers.  Newberry faced a brilliant Luke Dyke over before succumbing to the last ball, and Harvey fell to a similar fate to the Huncote pace bowler.

Khan fell victim to an excellent Frank Hubbard stumping, and Goddard fell to a skied catch with Carl Spencer this time holding on at point.  Pook and Studley added some resistance with the later playing some nice drives down the ground, but when Crossley snared Pook with a sharp catch close in the wickets started to fall again.  Goes and Pennington both fell to Dyke slower balls, Studley gave Swords a catch at mid on, and Akram fell to another Kirby catch after a brief late cameo, including a huge straight six.

93 to get and Ian Crossley wasted little time in taking the attack to the quicker Ivanhoe bowlers.  Khan, not helped by constant no balls, and Pennington felt some harsh blows, but Studley bowling left arm spin kept things tight his end.  Khan made up for his over stepping by brilliantly running out Frank Hubbard, and Mitch Hubbard made a brisk 11 before losing his leg peg to Studley.

Harvey had a bowl late on, slowing the run rate, and picked up Crossley's wicket for a well crafted 42.  Brewin was stumped off Studley but Spencer and Schutz saw the visitors home for a well earned win and 24 points.  Carl Spencer striking the winning runs over mid off for four.

Man of the match has to go to Luke Dyke whose excellent spell set up this victory.
